In 1996, the IPNA inaugurated its culture department with its first literary event, “Stories for a Future with Hope.” The goal was to encourage children with intellectual disabilities at schools and organizations across the country to try their hand at writing and later publish some of the children’s works.
In 2004, IPNA hosted the Drawing and Painting Conference “Painting Dreams and Hopes” in conjunction with Club Atlético River Plate. Like the literary event, this conference brought together children and teachers from the city of Buenos Aires in order to encourage each participant to create a piece of art.
